Optional Riders that Come With Additional Fee to Your Coverage

Those riders are optional riders if you want them to add to your coverage you need to pay a monthly low fee in addition to your monthly premium. They are several but let us mention two (2) of them which are Guaranteed Insurability Rider (GIR) and Waiver of Premium (WMD / WSP).

Guaranteed Insurability Rider (GIR) Allows the policyholder to increase coverage later without new medical evidence. Designed for younger buyers anticipating future needs. Issue ages: 0–37 | Minimum increase: $5,000 | Maximum: lesser of base policy face amount or $50,000 | Not available on rated policies

Waiver of Premium (WMD / WSP) Waives certain policy costs if the insured becomes totally disabled. Options: WMD – waives monthly deductions, expenses, and mortality charges. WSP – waives a specified premium amount (minimum, guideline, or chosen level). Issue ages: 0–55 | Premiums may vary by risk class
